Dracula’s Transylvanian Ghoul-ash!

Filed under: Uncategorized — chefjenn @ 1:42 am

Is there a better time to cook then Halloween – so many fun things that can be done with food – and one of the best a garlicky filled dinner to keep the vampires off the doorstep!

Today our Itty Bitties will make a Ghoul-ash! that will be filled with whole wheat egg noodles, low fat chicken, chives and dill – a little color added with some pimentoes - ”dieing” to hear how the Lil Draulas like it!

Bon Appetite, until we meet again!

Apple-Jack Quesadillas

Filed under: Uncategorized — chefjenn @ 1:32 am

This week the Lil Chefs prepared of Apple-Jack Quesadillas. They had so much fun using the apple corer “to get the bad seed stuff out!” I still love watching them use the graters for the cheese – however always eat so much more of the cheese then would ever go into the recipe! I still can’t believe how many would eat the apple even with the skin on!!!! Can’t wait to hear the reviews!

Bon Appetitie, until we meet, again!

2 weeks later!

Filed under: Uncategorized — chefjenn @ 11:09 pm

We had a great past two weeks – last week we made traditional chicken soup with a mirepoix (a mixture of carrots, celery and onions) – a french word we used and added fresh oregano to it!

This week we made a cream cheese and jelly french toast (or a cream cheese and jelly sammie as RR would call it)  We learned what a spatula was and how it flips -but the best part of the day was watching all of the Lil Chef crack an egg each to make the batter for the french toast, whisk in the milk and add the vanilla.   I then cooked the french toast on a skillet and the whole room smelled delish!

How did your Lil Chef like their recipe creations -would love to know!

Bon Appetite, until we meet, again!
